About the new VFXJobs.com

Welcome!

I am pleased to offer this site for the VFX and Animation community. The newly redesigned VFXJobs.com went live August 25, 2011 and is the result of nearly 6 months effort, thousands of lines of code - and more money than I care to think about. Because it's so new, I'm still cleaning things up a bit and have a few items to finalize yet. I hope you will bear with me.

I work in the industry and have used jobs sites for many years. I designed this one to be what "I" would find useful and have always wanted to see in a job-search tool. I hope as you spend time here using VFXJobs.com, you agree with my choices.

In March 2011, I purchased the VFXJobs domain from the owners of VFXTalk.com. And starting off, you will see a lot of syndicated listings from that site continuing to appear here. Over time, as new users begin to register on VFXJobs, I hope the number of listings they post on VFXJobs will eventually make showing syndicated listings less interesting. Though it's great to be able to see them, syndicated listings essentially arrive "as-is." Listings authored here (like this one) are setup with information and structured to enable features unique to this site.

I'd also like to acknowledge the amazing help I've had from the very brilliant "Eli." Without who's guidance and hard work, building this site would have been a much more traumatic experience with a much more humble result.
